Loizides, P.A. has substantial experience prosecuting and defending “preference” actions and we have handled hundreds of these kinds of cases. “Preference” actions arise in bankruptcy cases and seek to recover money paid to creditors in the 90-day period before the bankruptcy filing. While we cannot guarantee or predict results in any particular case, as every case necessarily presents unique facts and circumstances, in cases where we have represented defendants as lead counsel, the average settlement has generally been in the neighborhood of 20% of the face of the claim.
